1. Controller
Manuel Beuters (3DekoPrint, operator of 3DToolBox)

2. General information
3DToolBox is deliberately built to minimize data collection: color detection from images and 3MF files runs entirely locally in your browser — your photos or 3D models are never uploaded to a server. The sections below transparently list everything that happens technically in the background when you visit the site.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted on a server (cloud server) operated by one.com A/S, Kalvebod Brygge 24, 1560 Copenhagen, Denmark (EU). When you visit the site, the server processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the requested page and the time of access in order to deliver the page and protect it against abuse. The web server does not keep access logs containing your IP address. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure provision of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For more information, see one.com Data Processing Agreement.
4. Embedded libraries
The tools use the JavaScript libraries three.js (3D view), JSZip (3MF files) and heic2any (iPhone HEIC photos). These files are stored on our own server (see section 3) and are not loaded from third-party providers or content delivery networks. As a result, no IP address is transmitted to other providers when these libraries are loaded.
5. Visitor counter
We use a simple, anonymous page-view counter provided by the third-party service countapi.mileshilliard.com. Your IP address is technically transmitted in the process, but is not stored or analyzed by us — only a number is incremented. Using your browser's localStorage, we remember whether your visit has already been counted so the same visit isn't counted multiple times; this information never leaves your browser. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a rough overview of visitor numbers (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The counter itself is not visible during normal use of the site.
6. Local browser storage (localStorage)
We use your browser's localStorage exclusively for purely technical purposes, including:
- Remembering whether your visit has already been counted by the visitor counter
- Remembering your choice between the light and dark appearance (switch in the navigation)
- Remembering your print bed, material and price settings in the generators (
tb_gk_env)
No personal profiles are created and no data is transmitted to us — the information stays in your browser. As this is a strictly necessary technical function, no cookie consent is required for it (Section 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG, the German implementation of the ePrivacy Directive).
7. Linked shops and tools (affiliate links)
3DToolBox links to external shop pages for detected filaments as well as to external 3D printing tools. Depending on the current setup, these may include: When you click a partner link, your browser is redirected to the shop via the respective partner network (Impact, Awin, UpPromote); cookies or tracking IDs may be set there so that a purchase can be attributed to us. 3DToolBox itself sets no cookies for this and transmits no data to these networks before you click a link.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Elegoo (Impact), Anycubic, Azurefilm, Recreus and Redline Filament (Awin), Sunlu (UpPromote), Filamentor (own referral code) | Filament purchase links (affiliate links, advertising) |
| Meshy AI, Thangs | 3D printing tools |
These links lead to third-party websites over whose data processing we have no control. Their respective privacy policies apply. Some of these links are affiliate links, through which we may receive a commission on a purchase — this has no effect on the price you pay. Where affiliate networks (e.g. Awin) set their own cookies upon clicking, this happens only on the respective provider's destination page, not on 3dtoolbox.info itself.
Referral links (?ref=…) and click counting
If you reach 3DToolBox through a link containing ?ref=name (for example from a creator), your browser session remembers that name in sessionStorage. It stays in your browser only, is deleted when you close the tab and is not sent to us. It is used to give partner links the code of the recommending creator and to pass an anonymous identifier (sub-ID) to the partner network when you click. We do not set cookies for this.
To understand where visitors come from and which partner links are used, we count page views and clicks on partner links anonymously with the service GoatCounter (GoatCounter, Netherlands/EU – gc.zgo.at, 3dtoolbox.goatcounter.com). No cookies are set and no profiles are built; your IP address is not stored. Stored are, among other things, the page viewed, referrer/referral source, browser and screen size and a rough origin (country). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring reach and success (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). When the script loads, your IP address is technically transmitted to GoatCounter.
8. Contact form and email
The generator pages contain a form for feedback and ideas (name, email address, subject, message). When you submit it, this information and the page you were on are forwarded to us via the service Web3Forms (api.web3forms.com) and delivered by email to info@3dekoprint.de. Web3Forms processes the data as a technical service provider and may process it outside the EU (e.g. in the USA). Data is only transmitted once you submit the form and have consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use your details only to handle your message and delete them once the request is resolved, unless legal retention obligations apply. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (email to info@3dekoprint.de). Alternatively, you can email us directly.
The "Become a partner" button opens your own email application with a pre-filled message to us. No data is transmitted via our website in this process — the email is sent directly from your email application. We process the data you provide in the email (e.g. name, email address, message content) to handle your inquiry, based on Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete this data once it is no longer required for processing your request, unless legal retention obligations apply.
Print request to 3DekoPrint
In the generators, “Have 3DekoPrint print it” prepares a non-binding print request. The button opens your own e-mail app with a pre-filled message to info@3dekoprint.de (dimensions, material, estimated weight and print time, indicative price, your settings and the link to the configuration, plus your details on quantity, colour and message). Nothing is transmitted through our website or a third-party service; the message only reaches us when you send it from your e-mail app. We process the details to handle your request and prepare a quote on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose and no retention duties apply.
9. Your rights
You have the right, at any time, to:
- Request information about data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Request correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Request deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Request data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
Simply contact info@3dekoprint.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the data protection authority of Lower Saxony ("Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz Niedersachsen"), which is responsible for Emden.
10. Changes to this privacy policy
We will update this privacy policy whenever the data processing described here changes — for example, if additional affiliate networks or tracking services are added. The version currently published on this page always applies.
This privacy policy was prepared to the best of our knowledge, based on the technology currently used on 3dtoolbox.info, but does not constitute legal advice. If you have any doubts, we recommend consulting a qualified legal professional — particularly once real affiliate tracking links (e.g. via Awin) go live, as this will change the data processing involved. In case of discrepancies between this translation and the German original, the German version applies.
